Huskvarna Stadshotell

The hotel is old, small and very cozy, right in the middle of Huskvarna. Its restaurant serves a good breakfast and a well prepared dinner. Shops are only a few steps away. You can walk to the lake and its little harbor, or head into the hills for a lovely view across Huskvarna and the sea.

The breakfast stood out for me. It was thoughtfully put together and went beyond the usual options. The hotel is comfortable and the city is small and quiet. Parking was confusing. I think I may have taken a space meant for someone else, and it wasn’t clear that parking in the yard cost extra. I believe there was a Schuko outlet for charging a car, but it might have been reserved, and the reception wasn’t sure either.

The buffet breakfast had all the essentials, and the staff were friendly. It’s a clean, cozy hotel, though it isn’t luxurious or flashy. The rooms are all different.

I’ve stayed here over 30 times on business trips during the past seven years. Each room has its own distinct design, and room 212 is my favorite, give it a try. The rooms and amenities have always been clean, and the staff professional. The restaurant has enough options, but it’s a bit overpriced. There’s no competition nearby, and it’s the only real restaurant in town. Breakfast is poor compared with other hotels in the Jönköping area.
