Vox Hotel

The breakfast and free-flowing coffee were better than I expected, and they were generous with the coffee. We booked one of the best suites, which is why the stay exceeded expectations. With a less impressive room, it might just be somewhere to sleep. The staff were polite enough. The men seemed friendlier and more outgoing to me, while the women came across as arrogant, though I’m not sure why. There aren’t enough staff for early check-in, so expect to wait with everyone else. Give them time to get things right. The kitchen team is careful about cleaning, preparing, and laying out the food, so please don’t touch it with your hands or let children serve themselves. It’s their house, and we’re guests. Rest well, my friends, and stay hungry for the truth.

The reception staff were superb, a full 10 points. Breakfast was very good too, though the service there didn’t match the reception. I had to ask for a clean table, then waited five minutes for scrambled eggs while the rest of my food went cold. We stayed in a suite with a balcony and lake view, and it was so beautiful, worth every penny. The room itself was perfect.

During exhibition week the price was horrendous. The rooms were tiny, and all three of us, me and two colleagues, were given rooms without windows.

A great place to stay if you care about peace and quiet. The staff were polite and helpful, and the restaurant team were kind and ready to help.
