Alicea made dinner especially memorable with her attentive, helpful service. She let us settle in with a drink and take our time ordering, while staying friendly without hovering. The food at dinner was tasty, with lots of choices, and breakfast had plenty of options too. ProfilHotel Calmar Stadshotell was spotless, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. We left with a great impression of the hotel and would happily come back.

We only had a short stopover, since our travel agent booked the hotel for one brief night. Even so, it was a very nice stay. The building has a classic style, and while the room felt a little older, the bathroom had been newly renovated. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. My highlight was the Breakfast-Bag: we had to catch a train at 7:00, but could fill it ourselves from 6:30.

Parking is available nearby if you’d rather not use the hotel’s lot. The hotel itself was quiet, and we couldn’t hear the neighbors. Its central location was convenient, the staff were super friendly, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was a standout, with a huge, well-organized range of high-quality food.

We had a terrible experience and left. There were dark brown stains on the room door, and what looked like old blood all over the toilet door. The connecting door to the next room wouldn’t close all the way. The sight of the stains was horrific, so we asked to move rooms or get a refund. They offered to clean it, which would have meant us having to stay out of the room for a while because of their problem, or to upgrade if we paid extra. The receptionists smiled, but their manner felt cold. We accepted neither option and left. They refunded only the second night, not the first. They kept saying they understood, but we didn’t feel they did. We’ll never return.
