A calm spot for a night away. The facilities and staff were fantastic, though the water at the beach had so much algae that it was a letdown.

There was enough for the kids to do, including mini-golf and skelter, even though we visited a little off-season and no organized activities were running. We only stayed two nights to visit the zoo on both days. The rooms are dated but cared for, and had everything we needed. Better curtains to block the light would have helped.

We ate really well at the nearby Nya Sjöstugan restaurant. The campsite itself was fine, but the service area could have been cleaner, and there weren't enough toilets or showers. There was a wait whenever we went, so bigger facilities would help.

The cottage's setting in nature, close to Kolmården zoo, is beautiful. We were lucky to find one during a busy påsklov weekend. Reception staff were attentive and helpful; they called ahead about a possible issue and offered compensation before we even asked. It would be good to have basics like hand wash in the bathrooms.

There was lots for children to do, with a play area and other things around the site. We stayed in a tent spot with our caravan, without electricity. The place was nice, though the showers and toilets were a bit dirty. The sauna was a welcome extra, especially for Finns. 😉
