Bodelssons by the Sea

The room had poor air circulation, no aircon and lots of moscuitos, which affected our sleep. When one of us used the shower, the other couldn't use the water zinc. There wasn't enough in-room coffee supplies for both of us either, just one powder milk and one sugar. We were promised massage treatment, but it wasn't possible in July, which is high season. At checkout we asked to see the bill before paying by credit card, but the owner said they couldn't print it until we'd paid. We saw it only afterward, and it showed we'd been charged much to much for one night. We left and won't come back. The stay was so expensive, and the whole experience was the worst ever. The fish and meat were NOT fresh but frozen. The Swedish so called "löjrom" was only a half teaspoon on the plate, such a joke. It seemed obvious that the cook was NOT professionel, and both owners appeared to lake of knowledge to run a hotel. Their website showed a wine cellar, which wasn't true, false publicity. It also said the room and dinner package included "a three-course dinner, an appetizer and a glass of bubbly". That wasn't true either, we were charged extra for bubbly that we NEVER had. We also had a bottle of Sancerre that was undrinkable, as it was from 2021. There were only 2 guests apart from us in July, high season, and it seemed clear the two owners were struggling and that we had to pay for that. Such a shame. My intention was to write an article about places in Sweden in summer, but unfortunately our experiences weren't good, and the attitude from the 2 owners didn't help at all. Take care out there, because this is a Tourist trap!
