We found the spa and shared spaces especially relaxing. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well furnished, and the whole property felt peaceful and cared for. Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. Maryhill Estate has a beautiful setting with lovely views, and the design balances modern comfort with a warm, welcoming feel. It made for a high-end but laid-back stay, and we’d absolutely like to come back.

The rooms were clean, and the service staff were great, but the prices don’t feel justified by the experience. Dinner isn’t included and has to be paid for separately. At Hill house, a plain green side salad was 65kr, and while the entrecote was fine, it wasn’t worth 525kr. There was just one sauna and two pools, with too many people for winter, so it got really crowded. Prices may hold up because there’s no other restaurant besides the one at the hotel, but that wouldn’t work in a city.

The corridors to our room were a bit dirty, with spider webs hanging by the windows. It didn’t feel pleasant or match the quality the hotel aims to offer. I hope they improve that. We stayed just one night and were comfortable from check-in to check-out. The room was small and cozy, had plenty of character and amenities, and looked out over the outside pool. Robes, towels, and slippers were available without limit, with fresh ones at each pool as well. We got to enjoy all the pools on a rare sunny September day. The indoor pool felt especially welcoming for Sweden’s usual weather, and the warm outdoor pool was lovely in the evening. The nearby sauna was out of order. There’s also space for walks outdoors, games inside, or sitting by the fire. Dinner at the Sugar restaurant was cozy. We ordered a few dishes to share. I’d have liked a wider choice of non-alcoholic drinks. The Estate is under an hour’s drive from Malmö, and the calm, carefully arranged surroundings become even more noticeable as you go inside. It was pricey, but I’d say good value. I’d return and recommend it to friends and family.

The grounds were immaculate, with lovely walks down to the water, and the breakfast buffet was generous and tasty. There was a hint of history alongside modern comfort. Staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and professional, and made us feel well looked after. I stayed two nights for friends’ wedding, and the place left me with an unforgettable memory. The estate sits dramatically on cliffs at the ocean’s edge, with a calm, luxurious feel. The hotel is elegant and full of character, and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. There are three pools in different parts of the estate. The heated one was a must, well designed and sized for relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere. For a place this luxurious, I’d add an indoor spa with a sauna and steam room, and perhaps body and facial treatments. Maryhill Estate is a wonderful place to stay, perfect for weddings and celebrations or just a bit of luxury in Sweden. We’d love to come back.

We sent a formal complaint by email after checking out and never got a reply. That says a lot about the customer service. Our stay at Mary Hill Estate, Room 227, was very disappointing. The floor was stained and dirty, which wasn’t acceptable. At Hill House, the food was cold, and I found a piece of plastic in my main course. Staff took the plate away without apologizing or explaining. They later removed the main course from the bill at checkout, but that doesn’t address the lack of concern about food safety. Drinks at the pool bar took around 20 minutes, even while staff were standing around talking. This wasn’t the standard we expected, and we wouldn’t recommend staying here.
