The location was great, close to everything, and breakfast was fantastic: fresh and really tasty, easily 10/10 for me. The service was generally fine, though one employee seemed so uninterested that I barely noticed the greeting. I felt like an annoying customer whenever I opened my mouth, which surprised me since I work in customer service myself. On our last day, though, another employee greeted us after breakfast and gave us a nice farewell. I run shops and look after my own employees, so I'm not just complaining for the sake of it. The room was my main concern. There was rust on the metal fixtures and dust, and it wasn't clean enough for a hotel room. Even the water in the sink took several minutes to drain. It's not the best place I've stayed, but it's not the worst either.

I spent 6 weeks at the hotel. It was quiet and well located, and my room was clean. I'm vegan, and there was a large variety at breakfast with plenty to choose from. The staff were friendly, helpful and wonderful. A lovely hotel with the friendliest staff I've ever met. Recommend!!!

The reception service was good, with really nice, helpful people, and the bar and restaurant were enjoyable, with good food and drinks. But restaurant service was very slow, even though there weren't many customers, and lots of people waited too long. The rooms felt dated and hadn't been renovated in a long time. Paint was missing from the windows, the chair was dirty, and the shower needed a proper clean. The old room cards were difficult for both of us to use. The house and location are great, and with a renovation I think the hotel could be really nice.

The rooms were clean and nice, with a cozy, charming rustic feel. The location is right in the city centre, and restaurants and shops are easy to reach on foot. Food was decent, but there wasn't much for allergies or different diets. At breakfast, the only gluten-free or vegan options beyond fruit were oat milk.
