Quality Hotel The Box

Guests set off fireworks right outside the main entrance at midnight for 10-15 minutes. My dog is sensitive to loud noises and was badly distressed, so neither of us could rest. I was there on New Year’s Eve, and lots of other guests had dogs too. Before booking, I’d emailed to ask whether the area was usually quiet. The hotel said it usually was, so I chose it instead of cheaper options. When I contacted reception right away, they said they “couldn’t do anything.” For an expensive, dog-friendly hotel, that response and the misleading information are unacceptable. I don’t recommend a place that just wants your money without taking responsibility.

I found a lighter between the bed cushions. It could have started a fire or released gas, though luckily nothing happened. The boxses restaurant is expensive for what you get, and there are no fridges in the rooms, which is a problem if you have medication that needs cooling. I like the look of this “Luxury” hotel, but a lot of things don’t work. The staff try to make sure you’re satisfied, but if you complain about every broken thing or problem that makes your stay harder, you’ll be going to reception a lot. The quality at the “quality” hotel the box is questionable.

I’ve stayed here twice now while traveling back from Stockholm. It’s clean and peaceful, and I sleep comfortably. The service and breakfast are great. I’d recommend it for a calm, comfortable stay. Next time, I hope to spend a week and try the spa, though I’m not sure whether there’s a special place for every family!! ❤💐😍

Everything seemed fine until we got hit with a 700sek parking fine, even though our car was registered as a hotel guest. We showed proof but still ended up with the ticket. Reception said it would be removed, yet they charged it anyway and the bill arrived a month later. It feels like a scam, and the way we were treated was blatantly dishonest. The place is hard to reach without a car, so it seems they could be making money from this.
