Home Hotel Tapto

We stayed two nights in Stockholm in early Jan, and the service was excellent from the start. The staff were kind and friendly, upgraded us to a deluxe double room, and told us breakfast, fika with tea or coffee and desserts, and dinner were included. The big bedroom had a sofa and sitting area, and the bed was so comfortable with four pillows that I slept like a baby. The sauna could be turned on whenever we wanted, just by letting staff know, and there was a gym too. We made good use of the sauna and steam room after walking around in the freezing weather. The shower room was a good size with a strong shower. Breakfast had a great spread of cheese and bread, though dinner was mediocre. The menu changed each night, and we were grateful for the meals anyway. Coffee, tea, and milk were available throughout the day. The nearest subway is about a seven-minute walk, and there are bus stops on the main road too. We really enjoyed our stay at Home Hotel Tapto.

We were three people and I worried about whether the room would be big enough, since I couldn't find a useful picture before booking. It turned out to be spacious and worked well for three adults. Breakfast and dinner were great, and the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with a supermarket right next door. The center is a 20-25 minute walk, or the metro is five minutes away. We had a great time at Tapto, and I'd stay there again if I return to Stockholm. It was great value for what we paid.

Breakfast, Swedish file, and dinner are included in the price, and there's free tea and coffee in the lounge all day. The hotel also has a small bar with beers, ciders, drinks, and soft drinks. Staff were polite, friendly, and willing to help if they could. The place is clean and cosy. Rooms are big, airy, and fresh, with a large bathroom.

The beds were comfortable, though the room felt kind of hot at night. Staff were great, always listening and ready with advice at any time of day. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. Breakfast was nice, though it might look a bit frightening to southern Europeans. The pancakes tasted like bacon. Free tea and coffee were available at the bar all the time, and the big lounge with lots of sofas was a lovely place to spend time. I really appreciated it all. Thanks to the hardworking Tapto Hotel staff for making us as comfortable as possible.
