Parking felt pricey for a hotel outside the city. It's a simple, practical place, though, and the breakfast has vegan and gluten-free choices. We paid extra for a dog-friendly room and got a cute bag with poop bags, a blanket, treats, and tips on where to walk the dog.

The room was a good size and clean, and the staff were lovely. It's close to the university, with plenty of parking at a reasonable price, and having a car makes it easy to get around. The pillows were awful, the shower pressure was weak, and we were given just one tiny towel. A little fridge and a kettle would have helped, since there wasn't a place to get coffee or tea during the day. Breakfast was only OK, which was a letdown because we'd been looking forward to a nice Scandic breakfast.

A decent, friendly restaurant and a handy spot near the motorway and a large petrol station for snacks and drinks made this ideal for my business visit. I'd definitely stay here again.

For a short stop on the way through, or a trip with kids or a dog, this place works well. The breakfast is good, family amenities are useful, and it's easy to reach the main roads when travelling by car. The tradeoffs are no air conditioning, an older interior, and a limited restaurant menu. Anyone wanting a more central spot, modern decor, or a higher standard may want to look elsewhere.
