Anfasteröd Gårdsvik

We were sorry to leave after two wonderful weeks in one of the bather’s cottages with a loft. It’s a lovely spot on Sweden’s west coast, close enough to Gothenburg, with plenty of chances to relax, swim, snorkel, boat, stand-up-paddle, and enjoy the outdoors. The welcome and hospitality were great. For a longer stay, we would have liked a bit more storage space.

The surrounding nature is lovely, with decent trails, though the place felt crowded and noisy even at night. We enjoyed the outdoor area by our glamping tent, which was clean, private, and had most amenities, but it got too hot in the sun and could use a stronger cooler. We cooked in the glamping kitchen. A microwave was mentioned in the booking, but there wasn’t one at our site, so we used the one in the common area.

There’s plenty to do nearby, from hiking and swimming to kayaking, and the sauna on the water is great. The campsite itself is in an amazing place, with clean facilities in good shape. Staff were nice and responsive, and it’s dog-friendly, even with three dog showers.

The shared facilities were excellent, super clean, and had everything inside, including an oven, stove, and even a dishwasher. We arrived outside reception hours after asking, and they emailed to say the map showing where we could pitch our tent would be in the mailbox outside reception. The pitches were well maintained and equipped. Great camping overall! ☺️
