We enjoyed our short stay. The rooms were warm and comfortable, and breakfast and the evening buffet had nice food, though things could get busy. The gym and pool are small but decent, and the bar drinks and cocktails were good. It’s a lovely place to stay when visiting Lulea, about a 30-minute walk to the town centre.

The gym and pool earned an extra star. The gym is small, but has almost everything you need for a proper workout. We went in winter, and I’m not sure if we were unlucky to arrive with a larger travelling group, but the buffets were disappointing. Dishes were often finished, so you had to queue for refills, and the food wasn’t kept warm enough.

Our family room was set up with dogs in mind, and that made it much easier to relax as a pet owner. There was space for a dog bed, food, and other things, plus places to hang everything up off the floor. The big bed was comfortable enough for all three of us, and we had four pillows. There were also handy hiding spots, little bags in the bathroom, and a cute sign for the door about cleaning. We arrived right at the spot, and the staff were so friendly. Definitely coming back 🩵

We ended up staying just one night with the family after our train to Stockholm was cancelled. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Everyone on staff was really friendly.

After the long drive from Helsinki to Luleå in one day, this was exactly the restful stop we needed. The beds were super comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. I also loved the relaxed feel of the place and how helpful and lovely the staff were, with their charming norrländska dialect. Best Scandic hotel ever.
