Strandvillan hotell och Bed & breakfast

I’d happily stay here again. It’s a lovely place, nicely decorated, and the staff are lovely too. My room got roasting in the evening sun, though, since there’s no AC, and the thin walls let through a lot of noise from people coming and going and watching TV. Those are minor irritations, but worth knowing.

There’s a beautiful view of the water from this cozy hotel right by the sea. The room was small, but clean and comfortable, and the ladies of the house were attentive, obliging, and friendly. Tea and coffee are always available, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen if you want to make your own food. Dogs are allowed in some parts, and we could order food to take back to our room. We recommend it.

We stayed during the Women’s Sailing Championship, and the sea-facing hotel had a great view. The radio playing over the audio system just outside was an unwanted wake-up call. Still, we were pleased with the location and how clean it was.

The location was great, breakfast was okay, and the staff were nice enough. But the pricing reminded me of flying easyJet: it looked like a good deal, then extras like breakfast, sheets, and towels added up, so it didn’t feel like much of a bargain in the end. At least it was a roof over our heads in a great spot. The beds were much too soft for me, though that’s personal taste.
