Elite Plaza Hotel Malmö

The location is excellent, right in the centre of Malmo with restaurants and shops close by. I'd recommend the Bisschop arms restaurant at the hotel. Staff were kind and helpful, and getting around town was easy. I was in a deluxe double room, which had plenty of space, a nice bathroom, a king-size bed, a good TV and a fridge. The room was generally fine, but it smelled a bit old and opening the windows for fresh air wasn't possible. I could feel the mattress springs, and one side of the room was quite dark for lack of good lighting. Reaching the room meant using two elevators. I got used to the longer route after a few minutes, so it wasn't a big deal. Breakfast was included but disappointed me a bit. It was exactly the same every day and didn't offer much choice. After three nights, I'd put the hotel around 3.5 stars. It feels short of a full four, but better than three. I'd recommend it if you want an older place with the basic needs and maybe a little more. If you're after a fancy, modern hotel and a royal breakfast, probably not.

The breakfast was among the best I've had, and to me it's worth staying even for just one night to try it. The rooms may feel a little dated and aren't especially large. Although it's not an M.Bonvoy hotel, the price and quality make for a nice compromise.

I've stayed here twice before, and this third visit was the worst of the three. I paid more for a Deluxe room, but it was actually smaller than a standard one, and the bathroom was not clean at all. Apart from that, everything was fine.

The staff made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. The hotel is also well placed, close to the main shops and restaurants, with bus stops right outside and the train station a ten-minute walk away. My room was okay but looked dated and could have been cleaner. Some pillowcases were stained, and the duvet was discoloured and old, hanging out from the bottom of the sheet. There was no light above the bed in the main part of the room, so evenings felt dark and gloomy.
