The bar was really good, with tasteful decor and a first-class selection of beers. We got there before a wake was due to take place, so we couldn’t stay as long as we’d have liked. Still, it was cracking, and we could go back.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are friendly. There’s a very good bar selection and a food menu with fish and chips and a good burger. It’s also conveniently placed, within 5 minutes of central station.

The food was tasty, and the staff were incredibly helpful when I was choosing a whisky. It’s a charming bar with a good selection of whiskys, and a very good place for drinks or a meal. We had a great time, though be ready for the bill. Swedish prices can be a lot to take in as a visitor from abroad. The Bishops Arms isn’t “high class expensive” by Swedish standards, but it still costs more than most bar-restaurants of the same sort in mainland Europe.

They had a couple of extremely rare bourbons available by the ml: William Larue Weller and Thomas Handy. WLW is my absolute favorite. Amazing to leave the US and find these unicorns!
