Breakfast was homemade and really good, and the owners were warm, cheerful, and happy to help. The old house is beautiful and quiet, with an old-fashioned interior and a big room with a comfortable king-size bed. There’s no TV, which I actually liked. The bathroom was out in the hall, but it was attached to our bedroom and only my partner and I could use it. The owners grow fruit and vegetables in the garden. I’d recommend Äppelgården B&B.

The family room is a real highlight, and breakfast was fantastic. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer. The house feels cozy, and the host was lovely.

We'd happily come back. The house and garden are lovely, the welcome was friendly, and breakfast was the best I've ever had. It's also just a stone's throw from Mariestad. Highly recommend!
