The place looks nice, but summer concerts on Thursdays and Fridays can run until 9:30, so there isn't much else you can do at the hostel. We had to walk right through the band to get in and out of our room, dodging wires and pedals. Not a good choice on those nights if you don't want to party or have kids.

Inside, the residence is comfortable and practical, despite how its antique, minimalist exterior might suggest otherwise. The rustic furniture, floors, and carpentry show real pride and respect for the ancestors. If you want to experience old Sweden, I'd recommend staying here.

The owner was really nice and had useful suggestions, including where to find a good bike ride. This is a very old inn that's been beautifully maintained, and the rooms are both pretty and comfortable. Breakfast costs extra, but it's good and typical, with yogurt, muesli, ham, boiled eggs, rolls, butter, and jam.
