Hotell Fridhemsgatan

This hotel has a personality, and it was the best overall of the several good hotels we stayed at in Sweden on our holiday. It was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was very good and dinner was excellent. I’d happily stay again if my travels bring me back to Sweden, and I highly recommend it.

We found it good value for a short stay, with a really convenient spot right in the heart of Mora. The staff were extremely welcoming and always ready to help with questions or concerns. The rooms had the necessary amenities and were clean and well maintained, but the beds felt a little too soft for my taste. Our ground-floor room faced the street and was quite noisy, so light sleepers may want to ask for a higher floor. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Mora.

The employees were kind and helped me get where I needed to go, and the location is great. Don’t let the building’s appearance on Google put you off. Breakfast was incredible, and there was dinner on weekdays too. I stayed for five nights and would happily return. Just keep in mind that in winter it isn’t walkable from Central Station, so you’ll need a taxi to and from the station.

Breakfast had loads of variety and plenty of local products, and we could get free coffee, tea, or chocolate from the machine at reception. We booked a family room directly through the hotel website, so dinner at 18:00 was included in the room price. The room was really spacious, and we had a great two-night stay. We loved it and would definitely come back. Dalarna souvenirs were also available at the hotel for less than at the shop in Mora’s center.
