The restaurant was a real highlight, with a solid range of well-made dishes and a great choice of local beers. Breakfast is fairly basic, but perfectly fine and good quality. The place is much nicer than the photos suggest. It seems to have been renovated recently and everything is in great shape, with a mix of transitional and contemporary style. Our room was spotless and the beds were made each day. Staff were professional and friendly. They let us try out our bad Swedish, and switched to perfect English when we needed it. It’s quiet and remote, though there’s enough nearby to keep you occupied. You can get around the island by car, or by bike like we did. The rental place is next door, and we rode 60 km without any trouble. We’ll be back many times.

We had to wait before ordering because the kitchen was full, which was understandable. The wait paid off. Our starters were tasty and nicely balanced, and the main course was especially good, generous in portion and delicious. The price felt more than fair. The staff were very friendly and happy to speak English. From outside, there's a lovely view of the port, while indoors the atmosphere is phenomenal.

The rooms are nice, and the restaurant serves simple, good food. It's also a great place to stay while exploring the region. What really makes it stand out is the hospitality. The owners and staff make you feel at home.

I spent a week here and had one of my best hotel stays. The ocean is just a minute's walk away. Throughout the week, the staff were helpful however they could, from sightseeing tips and local amenities to keeping my bike safe and lending me an extra table for studying.
