Wetternbyn

We spent one night in Wetternbyn, cottage 11, and it was a real letdown. The cottage was shabby, and a lot was broken. The padding underneath the bunk bed was damaged, three floor or bedside lamps didn’t work, and I couldn’t get on the wifi. The dishwasher’s upper rack jumps out when you pull it, and the pillows were the flattest I’ve ever seen. Several curtains hung badly, and the kitchen light over the table was dirty. The place needs a thorough cleaning. The door frames were sticky, there were stains inside the dresser drawers, and both the bedside table and shower scraper were coming apart with rust. There was even a broken football on top of the wardrobe. The beach is close by, which is a plus, but otherwise the cottage left a lot to be desired. We also got no reply from the landlords after we reported these problems.

The location is great, but the cabin was so dirty that our white socks turned black within minutes. There were chips left on the table, and it was filthy in general. We checked out just five minutes after arriving and luckily found a hotel instead. The owner or manager didn’t even respond to our message explaining the problem. Bring cleaning supplies and expect to spend an hour cleaning first, and it might turn into a nice stay.

The cottages were worn and shabby, poorly cleaned, and had a lot of broken things. The grounds need a proper refresh and the lawns need mowing. The location is good, close to the beach, with plenty of parking. Book somewhere else.

Since March, we’ve tried to book a stay but still haven’t received a confirmation. They keep saying they’ll send one and never do. Now we’re being told it’s fully booked. The service has been very poor!
