Torreby Slott Hotel & Golf

We left really disappointed, even though there's a lot of potential here. The building and its surroundings are gorgeous, and I hope the owners do something to bring the experience up to what Torreby slott advertises. We'd booked a two bedroom apartment, but our room, "Fru Antonssons Andrum", was one spacious room with a second double bed in the corner. It looked nothing like the property's advertised photos, so we were disappointed when we arrived. The room wasn't awful, but it needed better lighting and decorating. It felt more like servants' quarters than the grand stay we'd imagined. I'd hoped this would be a royal treat for my teenage son, but it turned into a sad experience. I complained, and the staff did their best to make it right by offering us a free dinner. We accepted and stayed. The shower was also very hard to use because the water temperature was difficult to control. That's why we got to breakfast at 0915 rather than 0850. Breakfast was meant to run from 0800-1000, but by the time we arrived, hardly any food was left and there was no staff around. We hoped breakfast in such beautiful surroundings might cheer us up, but it didn't.

The food was great, and it's a beautiful place.
