Norrsjon Gastgifveri & Spa

We couldn’t sleep because the room was cold, and the heating didn’t work. We tried calling reception but got no help. Noise carries from the neighboring rooms, too, and the floors and beds creak terribly. The shared bathrooms were crowded. For the service they provide, this accommodation is very expensive. We definitely won’t come back.

The room was small but sweet, and the house had a cosy, typically Swedish feel. We only stayed one night. Checking in by phone was straightforward. The mattresses were the one downside, as they weren’t in the best shape anymore.

The surroundings are beautiful, and the traditional house has a lovely atmosphere. We found the room a bit tiny for two, and the bathroom is shared. If that works for you, it’s a nice place to spend a couple of nights. Worth a visit if you want to feel the heartbeat of Sweden in Dalarna.

It’s an old building with lots of character, beautiful decorations, and a really nice interior. Still, the rooms weren’t very clean, there’s no WiFi, and the place is creaky throughout. The toilet door is broken, so someone could peek in. They don’t serve breakfast because they don’t have enough staff. I can imagine it being much cooler in winter, when they offer more services, but it’s definitely past its prime now.
