Everyone was so welcoming, and having both breakfast and dinner included made the stay easy and comfortable. The room isn’t cleaned every day, which is better for the environment, but you can ask for housekeeping whenever you need it. My room was too warm, and I couldn’t figure out the climate controls. A simple set of instructions would help. In winter, the parking area was covered in snow and puddles, so getting to the hotel or back to the car meant wet feet. That part really needs improvement.

The staff were great, and they even brought beer to the sauna 🤩. With the room booking, the dinner buffet, spa, and breakfast buffet were all included, so it was an incredible deal.

It feels like a home by the river, close to the harbour. Dinner is included as well as breakfast, and vegan choices are always possible.

I spent a week here and got some of my best rest, with a wonderfully peaceful feeling all around. The hotel is charming and elegant, with excellent service and great food and drinks. It’s especially nice for enjoying the landscape by the water, with castle ruins nearby and flags from countries around the world flying along the shore. Have a coffee or a drink at the bar outside and enjoy the fresh air, though bring a sweater since it can get cold.

Home Hotel Kompaniet is in a great location, but the Wi-Fi was so slow it was barely useful for anything beyond basic messages. Reliable internet matters a lot these days, and the hotel fell short on that.
