Orebro City Hostel

I had a really pleasant stay here, so I’m not sure why the ratings are so low. The hostel was clean and fairly priced, and Ahmed was polite and helpful. It’s easy to walk here from the central station, the centrum is close, and there’s a supermarket nearby. The only inconvenient distance was to a decent breakfast spot, so you’d need to rent a scooter to get there.

There’s a well-equipped kitchen and a shower, plus a mini-market next door and the castle is within walking distance. That’s about all I’d count on here. The mattress is thin and sits on a wooden plank, and the sheets were mediocre and didn’t seem very clean. With beds that uncomfortable, you might as well sleep in a tent at a campsite.

We’re from Ukraine and stayed in a room here for three weeks. The kitchen let us cook, and there was hot water and laundry. The owners and staff were kind and very friendly. Thank you to them.

Clean place, nice atmosphere, and surprisingly good service for such a low price. I’d book a room here again if I needed to stay in Örebro. It was a shame there weren’t sandwiches or snacks to buy, but the coffee and tea were free, which was nice 👍
