Scandic Örebro Väst

Traveling with our dog was easy thanks to Max at reception. He was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The service was among the best I’ve ever had, and better than at any other Scandic hotel we’ve stayed at. I stay in hotels often and really appreciate that kind of care. Huge thanks to Max, I highly recommend this hotel!

A basic, older Scandic hotel. The room had a slightly unpleasant smell, breakfast was basic, and the sauna was all right.

The rooms were ridiculously warm, well over 30C, and after three days without sleep I had to switch hotels mid-stay. When I raised it, the receptionist just said, “it’s summer, there’s nothing we can do about it.” That doesn’t hold up. A hotel’s basic purpose is to let you sleep, and I’ve traveled half the world without ever having to leave one mid-stay before. I’m going to Scandic Central instead, which I already know is a great one. The breakfast is good, the staff are okay, and the rooms and facilities are clean and nice, though somewhat worn down. You can tell some staff are tired of what’s probably other guests complaining too. Without those hot rooms, I’d give this a decent 3-3.5/5. Stay. Away. From. Here.

The place was filthy, with dust and dirt everywhere. They advertise free parking, but I was ticketed for parking out front even as a hotel guest, and the fine was extremely high by Swedish standards. I'd avoid this hotel.
