The lake is peaceful both by day and in the evening, and the clear nights bring lovely moonlight views. This distinctive Stuga rental is well placed for reaching the nearest town and hiking trails. I'd love to come back.
A quiet, private spot right beside the lake. The cabins are nice, though some parts are a little basic, so it's good to know that before you arrive.
Just what you'd hope for in a Swedish summer hut!
I almost want to keep this lovely little place to myself.
We booked a night on the way to our destination without much planning, and the place turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. The hostel has two tiny cottage-like “Hobbit houses” built into the mountain, and ours was even cozier than we'd expected. It was peaceful, with a lovely view of the water and a swimming spot close by. The forest all around looked magical, though we didn't have time to explore it. There's a fresh, pleasant service house and plenty of barbecue areas beside the lake. We can really recommend staying here.
