The almond cake was incredible, with that egg cream practically melting in your mouth, and the semla was full of flavor too. I was honestly surprised to find sweets this good in Sweden. The cafe is quiet, with lovely interiors and really comfy sofas, so it works for catching up with friends or sitting with a laptop. If you’re after more delicate pastries than the usual plain Swedish kind, give it a try.

We’ve never stayed at the bed and breakfast, but have been coming to the cafe for years. Lunch is fresh, healthy, and delicious, and we think the drive out of the way is worth it for the mandeltorta. It’s made with almond flour, so it’s naturally gluten-friendly, with a delicious cream or custard. The Dulce biskiv is amazing too, and the other treats are gorgeous. Share a few with friends if you want to sample different ones. There are lots of gluten-free choices, including lunch bread, though it may be difficult for someone with celiac disease. The staff always take allergies seriously. The surroundings are as charming as the food. Even when it rains, the cozy interior can brighten your mood, with Swedish decor and a shabby-chic feel. There’s also an inviting garden, across from the river and Ronneby Brunsparl.

I’m a student from Poland on a school trip, and I found this place pretty, comfortable, and relaxing. The coffee and desserts were delicious, and the prices felt fair and affordable. I’d definitely recommend it.
