The terrace and indoor seating both look out over the golf course. Lunch came with a salad buffet, water, the main course, then coffee and cookies. I had chicken thighs with smashed potatoes and goat cheese sauce, and the salad choices included sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke.

On our visit to the track, we were served a tasty vegan meal with two courses.

The food is good and the atmosphere is lovely, but getting clear restaurant opening hours is a real problem. We’ve called without anyone answering, or driven there only to find it closed, more times than I can count. It comes across as dismissive toward customers.

The setting was beautiful, and the service was very efficient. We had lunch, with a daily special available alongside the à la carte menu. It came with a buffet selection of starters, including salads and pasta. Prices were average.

We were on a little weekend trip, my wife, me and our dog Tareq, heading from Norrköping toward Kil in Värmland. We’d hoped to find a cozy village tavern for a bite, but it was closed, so I spotted Lannalodge instead. It’s a golf restaurant, and the food was nicely cooked, with some finesse and care for the ingredients. I’d say it’s worth a visit and the money.
