Olarsgarden Hotell

We brought our dog, and she loved the long forest walks and relaxing by the fireplace just as much as we did. The rooms were clean and stylish, the food was excellent and used very local produce, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Easily the cosiest hotel in Sweden.

The beds were good, aside from the pillows. The breakfast was small, with no white bread or toast, and the coffee cups looked disgusting. The toilet was like one on an airplane, and once we unfolded the sofa bed, the living room was no longer usable. This was the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, not because of the floor area but because of the low ceiling. I’m 195 cm tall and had to crouch to get through the doorways. They should mention that in the room information. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

I was staying in a cabin next door and came over for breakfast, only to find it was brunch time. One of the staff kindly offered to cook something for me and made a delicious sandwich. The food was lovely, and the staff clearly put a lot of care and effort into the place. It’s close to all the main activities in Sälen. Great spot, thank you!

We really liked our comfort double room. It was clean and modern, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The service was perfect, the staff very kind, and dinner was good. Breakfast was a brilliant buffet with local products. We were there last week, thank you!
