First Camp City Stockholm

There isn't much happening here, though the little lake is lovely. The huts are basic, and the person at the kiosk was nice. Gamla Stan takes about an hour by public transport, but the trip is easy enough.

The city is only 20 to 30 minutes away by public transport, with frequent buses from early morning until after midnight. The stop is a five-minute walk from the campsite. We stayed five people in a cabin meant for 4+2, and it worked well. It was clean and well equipped, and the campsite service was great. A great base for visiting Stockholm while staying outside the city.

The lakeside road is lovely for a walk, and there are blueberry bushes under the tall trees. Forest surrounds the cottages, making the place calm and quiet. The cottages have AC and modern amenities, including modular kitchens. You can also bring your own tent, with a shared kitchen equipped for cooking and modern shared toilets. There's a small self-service library too. The office is right by the entrance. A distinctive place to relax in nature.

The lake nearby is stunning, clean, and great for a refreshing dip, with a lovely short walk to reach it. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our little cabin was sweet, and the kids loved the den at the top, though it was hard for adults to get into. The campsite is about a 10-minute walk from bus stops, with buses every half hour. The bedding we paid for was revolting, stained, and had hairs throughout, and there were stains on the blinds too. No one answered the all-hours phone number. The TV remote batteries were dead, there was no kettle, and there was no Wi-Fi at all despite the description. The 3G/4G signal was limited, but usable.
