The staff were amazing, and I’d really recommend the restaurant. I loved the salmon with saffron sauce, a generous-sized meal with all the right flavors.

We spent a week in the area and came here almost every morning for fresh coffee and some breakfast sweets. The coffee and baked goods were very good, and it’s a lovely place with kind people.

You can choose dishes in different sizes, and we went for XL portions of cod and Wiener schnitzel. Both were very generous and well prepared. We had lunch at this pleasant eatery in the harbour of Abbekås on Sweden’s south coast, surrounded by lots of local decorations. The service was kind, though the place seemed a little understaffed at busy times. There’s seating indoors and outdoors, plus a well-stocked bakery. Recommended!

The harbour view was nice, and the room was clean, but the toilet seat was broken. All the rooms are upstairs on the first floor, with no lift, and the stairs are quite steep. Carrying large suitcases up is not easy.

We sat in the garden at the back on a busy Sunday lunchtime in high summer, but the service was excellent and the wait was short. I had the blue mussels with French fries, a large portion and good value for what you get. Highly recommended. I’ll be back.
