We chose this place through NOVASOL for its location near Astrid Lingrens world, but strongly recommend staying somewhere else. We booked three nights and left early after the first one. It was raining hard and around 7 degrees, so we slept dressed warmly with the doors and windows open just to manage the smell and feel warm enough. There was a strong mouldy smell throughout, worst in the bathroom, and both rooms showed water damage. The beds, duvets, and pillows were stained and smelled like the house. The kitchen was in poor shape, patched with duct tape and fitted with old fridge doors as cabinet fronts. The pans were unusable for frying and seemed ready to throw away; things were generally dirty, and the plates and glasses needed restocking. Although the rented area had a private entrance, this was a shared house with the owner. He could enter the rented part through a door between the kitchen and one of his rooms. The pool and garden were in front of his part of the house, so he could watch them and there was no privacy. The pool didn’t work, either. The small outdoor room with wicker furniture was so dirty we gave up using it. The house is right beside train tracks, with no fence to keep kids away. The train didn’t pass often, but we couldn’t let the children play unattended.
