Ett Smart Hotell

The breakfast was extremely poor. Apart from that, I liked the very comfortable beds and nice rooms, the location, and the convenient access. The WiFi was great too. I also liked the keyless setup: they text you a code for your room, which is really cool.

It’s a quiet place with small rooms, each with a small kitchen, about 3.5 m x 3.5 m. Sollentuna Centrum is nearby, so it’s easy to buy food and other things. There are direct buses and a train to Stockholm. The bus ride takes around 30-40 minutes.

The breakfast was the most basic I’ve had in Sweden. Everything they offered could have fitted in a small box in my own fridge. Getting in was worse, though. There’s no night reception, and you need a PIN code for the hotel and your room. Because of data problems, we didn’t get the code at check-in or by SMS. Being locked out for almost an hour in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar place was awful. Be careful about taking the chance with this hotel.

We booked well in advance and ended up in a tiny cellar room. It was so dark and stuffy that we couldn’t stay in it, let alone sleep there. It was the only cellar room in the building, and the website never mentioned it, so it was nothing like what we’d booked. When I asked whether another room was available, the hotel said it was fully booked and was extremely rude, saying things like “it’s not my problem” and “I only work here.” We had to urgently find somewhere else, which cost more than the room we’d booked a few months earlier. Later, a different colleague said the owners would contact me about it. They never did. This was by far my worst travel experience. I strongly discourage anyone from booking here unless they want to end up on the street or suffocate in the cellar.
