The dinner and breakfast came with our package. Dinner was an OK two-course meal, with a starter and a grilled main you could choose from the menu. The gym was bigger and had more equipment than most hotel gyms, though it didn't compare with a real gym. Some machines were fresh and new, others rusty. It was in the basement and less pleasant than the rest of the hotel. Water and small towels were available. The room was spacious and clean. I stayed in room 329, Standard King. The calm interior matched the rest of the hotel, with some playful details. The bed was comfortable, the pillows fluffy, and the sheets crisp. I liked how the closet lights came on softly when you opened the doors. The bathroom was roomy too, and I loved the rain shower. The hotel feels peaceful and spa-like because it's surrounded by nature, but there's not much happening nearby. There aren't many restaurants or cafés within walking distance, so the hotel's offerings are pretty much the available choice. The spa focused more on experiences and meditation than simply relaxing, which might disappoint people expecting a classic spa. I'd expected more from the fancy descriptions on the homepage, including the claim that the spa area was 2500 m2. Much of it was just relaxation areas with chairs, sofas, and beds. There was a very hot Nordic dry sauna, a steam sauna with salt scrub that left skin super smooth, and a cooler herb sauna scented with rosemary and thyme. The experience showers had a hot waterfall and cold mist effect. There were infrared beds with an eight-minute sequence of music through headphones and vibrating beds. My headphones were faulty, with no sound on the left and crackling on the right. A cold room had what was probably fake snow, and there was a cooler pool, maybe 25°C. The gong room had warm beds and a 15-minute sequence that sounded like helicopters to me. There was also an “eventbastu”, a 20-minute sauna session with aromas, music, and a mini gong sound. The “sauna master” led it, using a towel to spread the warm, scented breeze through the sauna. The music was electronic psychedelic music, perhaps. I could handle the heat, but the experience felt like a question mark. It apparently happens only once in each three-hour spa session, and I don't think it's a big deal if you miss it. What I did miss was a warmer pool. Some parts of the floor were really slippery, and slippers weren't included in the spa package. Everything was new, clean, and modern, and I liked the no-phones rule. It would've been good to offer more activities for people who didn't bring a book. They had a few board games, like chess, and two books, but newspapers or magazines would've been nice. The women's changing room had only four shower spots, far too few. I don't know how many people are allowed in each spa session, but even when it wasn't crowded during my visit, there was a queue all the time. One shower also had very low water pressure.

The hotel itself was decent, with a clean, updated room, quality amenities, and nice service. The lounge was well thought out as an actual place to spend time, rather than a closed-off room with a good espresso machine. Marriott elite-member benefits were also honored without a problem. The grounds around it, with forest and sea nearby, were beautiful. The new spa hotel had a great facility, very clean and comfortable. It was one of the best spas in Stockholm and Sweden, with several saunas, a steam room, experience showers, red light treatment, a snow room, and a gong room. The event sauna was amazing and not to be missed. A couple of things could be better: some items communicated as part of the opening package were missing, and the details about what exclusive spa access includes could've been clearer. The TV cast function didn't work, and hotel information wasn't shown on the TV.

We got an opening offer, so it wasn't crowded, which was lovely. The design was great, and the furniture pieces were cool. The spa was amazing, with different saunas, vibration therapy, and a beautiful sauna ritual. The staff were attentive and service-minded. They made me feel special, which was really nice as a customer. Dinner was very tasty, especially the tartar, which was perfect. Breakfast felt fresh and thoughtfully done. Nothing but an amazing hotel and spa. My husband and I have a new favourite, and we'll definitely recommend it and visit again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The newly renovated facility was well maintained, and they offer experiences you don't find at several other places, including a gong bath and red light therapy. The sauna ceremony was wonderful and lasted about 15 minutes. Still, I have some concerns. The price is pretty high for the 3-4 hours allowed in the facility compared with competitors. Swimming shorts were included, but they didn't have a size up to two sizes, which didn't seem professional, and they offered no compensation. The gong bath was a recording played through speakers, and it didn't sound like a gong at all. Red light therapy isn't yet fully accepted as a scientific therapy in the academic field, so there should be clear instructions and warnings about heat levels, especially for NIR wavelengths, which can cause harm. I visited only for the spa and sauna facilities for the day.

The facilities themselves are nice, but unclear information and poor communication spoiled what could have been a great stay. We booked the All Inclusive Spa, Overnight & Breakfast package at Haga Strand, but spa access was limited to three hours. We had to choose between going on arrival day or the following morning. That wasn't stated on the website or in the booking confirmation. Other spas with similar packages usually let you use the facilities throughout your stay. We received the swimsuit included in the package, but not the tote bag or tea oil for your foot. The webpage also said sports or gym classes were included, but none were being offered at the time, and that wasn't mentioned during booking. We were especially looking forward to the Event Sauna, which is one of the spa's main attractions. There is only one session during each three-hour slot, but nobody told us. Guests are supposedly notified when it is about to start. We were in another sauna then, and no one came to tell us. We only realized it was happening when it was ending. Afterwards, staff apologized and explained that there was only one session per slot. Guests could easily plan around it if reception explained the timing when they entered the spa.
