Hoom Park

The rooms were old and cold, some lights didn’t work, and the extra beds were hard as concrete. We were moved here after the other hotel we’d booked, apparently owned by the same company, said it couldn’t take guests. They told us to cancel our original booking because they couldn’t transfer it otherwise. That was a plain lie, and we ended up being charged for this room too. They said they would start a refund, but it never arrived. We definitely lost money.

The private sauna was free, and the hotel is good value for the price. The staff were super cool and kind, and breakfast was very good. It’s a five-minute walk to the train, then just two stops to Stockholm. The rooms could use a little renovation, but for what they cost, they’re good. :)

The breakfast was really good, with lots of tasty choices, and the staff were incredibly friendly. They were helpful with the cold room too, bringing us a portable heater after explaining that the central heating comes on automatically and can’t be adjusted by hand. The room itself was spacious and really nice, though it had no international socket options and I expected more control over the temperature for the price. Parking was a nightmare to find, which made coming and going stressful. Still, it was a nice stay with good service, though comfort options and parking could be improved.

We picked this place because it was close to the airport, and had to stay after our flight was delayed. The waffles were good and breakfast wasn’t bad, but that’s about all I can say in its favor. The bathroom was unclean, with hair everywhere, and we found two cockroaches in the bed. I told the staff, but I guess they didn’t care. The rooms were bad, the floors were disgusting and brown, and the staff were extremely rude. Choose another hotel, not Hoom.
