Injoy Premium Hotel Solna

We were a group of respectful guests sitting in the bar area when an employee named Ahmad confronted us rudely and kicked all of us out without giving a valid reason or explanation. His unprofessional behavior was completely uncalled for. I’m extremely disappointed with the service, and it’s a shame one staff member’s attitude spoiled what should have been a pleasant stay.

Breakfast was the best part, easily a 5/5 for us. The choice was wide, the produce was excellent, and it was the finest continental breakfast we’ve had anywhere. The staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous too. The location is convenient, about a 10-minute walk to Ulriksdal rail station for quick trains to Stockholm Central and direct connections to Arlanda Airport. There are a few restaurants and a convenience store nearby. We might stay again, but probably not in summer in the same room, which was dark and gloomy on bright days and could take away from the Swedish tourist experience. Finding 'Injoy Premium' was difficult because there was no exterior sign, as it’s part of 'Solna Park & Hotel'. Our taxi driver couldn’t find it and eventually dropped us on the pavement where we asked. We thought we’d booked a 4-star 'Injoy Premium Hotel', but 'The Solna Park & Hotel' seems more realistically advertised as 3-star. The place has a somewhat modern look, but also felt empty and gave us the impression it might once have been used as a migrant hotel or something. It seems more suited to corporate guests than tourists. Our first room had no hot water, a filthy bathroom floor that hadn’t been properly cleaned, and a bedroom that was too warm with no working temperature control. It looked directly onto a large construction site. Reception said the temperature was preset and only the landlord could control it, and suggested we open the window despite the construction noise. We were offered another room, a slight upgrade, but both rooms had poor lighting and lights on wobbly stands. The replacement room was very dark. We had no refrigerator, and reception couldn’t provide one. Our room was serviced only once in four nights. There were signs of poor upkeep: industrial sprinkler pipes overhead, wires hanging from the TV and trailing across the table, a bedroom TV hung crookedly, and pictures that weren’t level. It all felt bizarre and could easily have been fixed with a bit of pride. Spending a night or two at the hotel through a customer's eyes might help management see these things.

The staff were very helpful, and their exceptional service is the only reason I’m giving this four stars. Otherwise, I wouldn’t rate the hotel above three at most. The rooms and corridors need maintenance. For a four-star place, I’d also expect slippers for guests and a better breakfast with fresher options.

The service was top notch, and the breakfast starting at 5 had cold options that made a decent sandwich. The hard-boiled egg was done well, cooled so the shell peeled easily, something many hotels seem to miss. There were bananas in the fruit selection, takeaway bags and cups for people in a rush, overnight cold oats, and a really good bread roll. I couldn’t pay with Revolut, but N26 worked. The privately bookable sauna is free. I was here for two work nights. The room was very dark, with bad lighting, basic and fairly worn, and it needs refurbishment. The bed was comfortable, but there was no fridge and the room wasn’t made, unusual for a 4-star hotel. The station is five minutes away on foot, and the mall and stadium are 15 minutes away. There’s not much else nearby, it’s a business park. Wifi was okay and stable, but inaccessible in the dining room.
