Håkan really looks after the place. It’s newly renovated, and a lovely base for spending time at one of South Sweden’s most beautiful beaches.

We’ve stayed here for the second year now, and it already feels like coming home. There’s plenty of nature around, the gym is quite decent, and the owner is very nice. Maybe next year we’ll finally make the ferry trip to Hanö, which we’ve been talking about for the past two years.

We had such a good time in the area, wandering down to the beach or stopping for a drink at the Beach Bar. There’s also a small shop nearby for essentials. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shower was even better than ours at home. We’re looking forward to staying again. A hidden treasure!

The room itself was nice, though the cleaning could be better, and cooking there is pretty much limited to boiling or using the microwave because of the fire detector. Breakfast was disappointing, and I didn’t see a bar. There’s a beach cafe with an alcohol license, but it closes at kl.18. Is this seriously rated four stars? There’s no reception, and check-in felt completely unprofessional. We’d agreed on a time, but when we arrived we called and texted numerous times without getting an answer. We’d already been driving for over six hours and just wanted to get settled. Another guest had been waiting more than 30 minutes too, with dark clouds nearby and strong winds. Eventually someone came out of the apartment building, gave no apology, and showed us to our rooms. That was absolutely disrespectful of our time. At over 1600+SEK per night, guests deserve a smooth, professional check-in. A four-star hotel should have a reception.
