The place felt cozy, the staff were easygoing and helpful, and I liked the nice soaps in the showers. Some facilities are closed at the moment after a fire in May. They were upfront about it and made the best of what was available, which I really appreciated.

We came for the LRF meeting, had dinner, and stayed overnight. The food surpassed even my high expectations, with mostly local ingredients, beautifully presented and delicious. I especially liked the fresh blueberry juice with the main course. Service was professional and comfortable, and afterwards we enjoyed sitting by the large, old-style fireplace. My husband and I both slept very well. The room has an old-fashioned style, but the bathroom is completely new. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including several juices and milks, porridge, scrambled eggs with bacon, and pancakes. It was a calm, happy stay.

Dinner here was so good. The three kinds of herring to start and the recommended fish were among the best dishes we ate on our trip. The service was spot on, and they kept checking that we were doing well. We congratulated the chef, and the waiter told us he was his big brother. A top-quality local place, I’d recommend it to anyone.

Moose tartare, local salmon tacos, and an excellent wine and bar selection made for remarkable dining. The rooms are cosy, the service is top notch, and dining felt almost private. It’s a real gem under new ownership. A great spot for smaller conference teams, just a short flight from Stockholm and then you’re in the Nordic fjäll wilderness. This was my third time here.
