The rooms were a bit cold in winter. It’s an old building, and the rooms are old too. On-site parking costs about 10 EUR per night, or there’s free public parking roughly 200 metres away.

The room was really large, which was a bonus, but the TV didn’t work. The breakfast was a little underwhelming compared with other Elite hotels I’ve stayed at. The room and the atmosphere on the hotel’s ground floor were nice, though upstairs felt a bit stale.

It’s an easygoing place, serving higher-end pub food with friendly faces. The food is great, portions are generous, and allergy substitutions were no problem. There’s a wide choice of beers and other drinks. The staff are friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy working there.

The room’s walls were extremely thin. People walking in the hallway sounded as if they were right inside the room. The breakfast buffet was small, and there were no extra pillows. The sheets and pillowcases were dirty, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close or lock. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a great business trip here with colleagues, and it wasn’t too far to drive from Stockholm. After meetings, we walked around town to the church, the windmill, and along the lakeshore. Shops are very close, and we enjoyed the food and bar service downstairs. A+++ great place!
