The coffee was the best I’ve had in a long while, and breakfast was spot on. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. I really enjoyed my stay.

The location works well if you’re only staying a couple of days. But if you need to live here for a while, leave and find somewhere else. There’s no internet, which feels ridiculous nowadays. The connection to the rest of the world is the same rubbish it was when the hotel was built, 127 years ago.

The food was amazing, and the service was superb. Even though the hotel is over 100 years old, the interior feels fresh.

I always feel welcome when I’m there, and the food is consistently great. Last time, I had an excellent barbecue lunch.
