Bed & Breakfast Tidaholm

The host was nice, and the bedroom was clean.

This was the worst accommodation I’ve ever experienced. The owner was arrogant and unpleasant, and her husband just stared at her. They wouldn’t lend me a kettle, saying there was no room for one. That was laughable, since I ended up buying my own. I ate at a restaurant every day, just not theirs, so it had nothing to do with STT or being unable to cook. The room smelled of stale urine. When the towels that were in the room were taken away, I didn’t get them back. My boss had rebooked the room there by mistake. They also expected me to strip the bed and fold the bedding. I’ve worked in hotels for many years, and guests shouldn’t be asked to do that. In the evenings when I came back from work, they’d stare at each other and shout so loudly it echoed through the house. They’d run downstairs and slam doors, with no regard for the guests. More than one other person staying there said the same thing. And charging 100 kr for STT to wash one machine load? This place is no castle, quite the opposite. 🤣🤣

There’s no breakfast, though you can keep something in the shared fridge and use the microwave in the morning. Dinner is served at the adjoining Thai restaurant. The staff are nice, the beds are good, and the place is clean. The shared bathroom is large and even has a jacuzzi.

The building lets sound through, which was the one small downside. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were very clean, the staff were friendly, and laundry with a dryer was available for a small fee.
