The surroundings are lovely, and it’s worth taking a walk around. We also had some really good food: the prawn salad was fresh, the schnitzel and beef medallions were great, and we had the best burger ever. Excellent Swedish food.

We had lunch outside in the summer shade, looking out over the lake. Afterwards we walked around the forest, petted some cows, and went for an ice swim. You can rent bikes, canoes, and SUPs here too. Great food.

The drive out was nice, and there’s a little farm nearby with a few adorable black sheep. We had a tasty fish stew and blueberry cheesecake, and my boyfriend really liked his hamburger. It’s a lovely spot for an afternoon with family or friends, by a lake and a green field where you can lie down with a book. There was a bit of a wait to order because it was Easter, but the service was great. A good choice for a short weekend trip.

The food was excellent, but dogs weren’t allowed inside. The wait staff were mostly young women, and a language barrier led to a few extra items being added to our order.
