Hotell Viking

The garden was a great spot for tea or coffee in the fresh air, and the pavilion meant you could sit there even when it rained. Every visitor can also help themselves to coffee, tea, water, and pastries at any time. In the morning there’s a breakfast buffet to enjoy, and for 80 SEK you can have your laundry done on site, which I thought was reasonable. I spent five nights at Hotell Viking and was very satisfied. The furnishings are comfortable and the place has a welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and ready to help, including with tips on what to see if you want to get to know Sweden beyond the surface. I asked Anna for ideas and found several things I wouldn’t have thought of myself, or might otherwise have missed. I’m grateful for that. They also gladly suggested some souvenir boutiques for family and friends. The shared toilets, showers, library, and dining area all seemed clean and well maintained, and nothing concerned me. If you ask nicely, you may be able to leave your luggage there after checkout, as long as you collect it in time. They took good care of it and treated it respectfully. I may have forgotten something, but I was really satisfied with the stay and the value for money.

A calm, friendly place, and such a beautiful, wonderful hotel. Its old-fashioned feel is lovely, like stepping back in time.

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a clean, very nice old Victorian-style hotel, with a very good breakfast. The pedestrian street, city center, and restaurants are about a 10-minute walk away.

I loved the furniture and the feel of the place, really everything about the inside and outside. The breakfast buffet was on the smaller side, but I didn’t mind since it all looked very good.
