Elite Hotel Academia

Breakfast was excellent, with loads of options, and the rooms felt really fresh. Service was fantastic. The downside was the noise: I could hear our neighbors and people in the hallway because the rooms aren’t very soundproof. The location right by the train station is great.

They have bikes you can borrow, which was a nice extra. The room was clean and roomy, the beds comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good and the staff very nice. It’s also really well placed near the railway station and the city center.

We keep coming back to Elite Hotel Academia whenever we’re in Uppsala. It’s just steps from the train station, and Elite hotels are generally so well placed around Sweden. The rooms are a decent size, with extras like a coffee maker, robes, armchairs, a desk, and slippers depending on the category. The view is a bit unpredictable, either toward the station or the street, but we’ve always slept peacefully. The soundproofing works well both from outside and inside the hotel, even after many stays. It’s been around a decade, yet the rooms still feel new and fresh. The whole place is consistently clean and well looked after, and housekeeping is thorough and on time. Staff have always been friendly, and over the years we’ve had no problems with bookings or service requests. Breakfast is excellent, with lots of choices and plenty of places to sit. There are tables in the middle and nice soft sodas on the side. On weekends it can be busy, so you need to book a breakfast time slot. There’s a Bishop’s Arm branch on the hotel’s main floor. We haven’t eaten there, but it’s handy to have a restaurant in the building if you don’t feel like going out. The gym is convenient and has everything we need, including a sauna that can be switched on and ready within half an hour if you ask.

There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were huge by European standards. A nice stay in a perfect Uppsala location, would recommend.
