Foundry Hotel Apartments

We ended up cancelling and never stayed, but I wish I could give zero stars. We booked on 17/02 for 27/02. This was a really important break for my parents and me. My cat, who was my baby, had suddenly died six weeks earlier after a period of very intense care, and my mother is still dealing with a chronic disease. Then last night I found out my other cat is severely anemic and could get worse at any moment. I couldn’t leave him like that, so cancelling was difficult and sad, but we had to do it. I explained what happened and said I could verify everything, hoping for some humanity. Instead, they stuck to the cancellation policy, even though we’d booked recently. We’re moving to Sweden and will definitely make this trip another time, but they wouldn’t even offer a voucher for a future stay. I understand the need for a cancellation policy, but surely there are situations where some kindness and compassion are possible. There wasn’t any here. We won’t book this place on future trips. I’m not expecting them to care, but I don’t want to support a business like this.
