Stf Hostel Vadstena

A lovely place.

We had a great time in room 9. I was there with three others from my choir during a summer tour. The corner room had a lovely view, plenty of light when the blackout curtains were up, and a nice breeze. It was clean and welcoming when we arrived. We spent most of our time in the basement kitchen, which had everything we needed to cook for our group. The staff were easy to reach before and during the stay, and were always kind and accommodating. Getting the cleaning done at the end was quick and easy too. The location made it easy to explore Vadstena, just a short walk from town. We also often sat in the little garden by the entrance, a great spot for sunny meals or impromptu game nights. Highly recommend!

I've never stayed somewhere worse. The room was like a sauna, and there wasn't a fan. For 760 SEK, breakfast, sheets and towels weren't included. The toilet and shower were shared, and we had to clean the room ourselves after the stay. Check-out was at 10 am, an hour earlier than at most hotels. I won't stay again and definitely don't recommend it! 👎🏻

The beds in the bunks are so narrow you can't stretch out without falling off. It gets really hot if you shut the windows, so you have to leave them open overnight. I wouldn't stay here if I wanted to sleep past 8 am, since the slamming doors and people talking will wake you. Luckily, nobody made noise after 1 am, but if they had, sleeping would've been impossible. I wear big noise cancelling headphones, but they don't block the door slams.
