Vilan I Orbaden

The room and host were very nice, and there was plenty of parking even for larger vehicles. The coffee and tea bar in the room was a big plus. The bed was one of the better ones I've slept in, and even with the train disturbing things a bit, I slept very well, better than in other hotels that cost twice as much.

I went home three days early, as it was almost impossible to get hold of the host. The front door was very untidy and uninsulated, felt unsafe when sleeping alone, and let sound through. There were broken lights inside and outside, and the duvets and pillows were very yellow. The internet doesn't work in the side rooms, making the lack of TV channels even worse. It could be a wonderful place if it were renovated and the yard tidied up.

The location is incredibly good, both geographically and for the price. Rooms are simple, with older standard bathrooms, but they're perfect for a basic overnight stay. There's a fridge in the room, and the shared areas have the rest of what you need for things like cooking.

It's cheap, but there's no service and the place is worn out. It smelled musty, maybe moldy. The beds were comfortable, so it was OK for a quick overnight stay, although train passengers disturbed us at night.
