First Camp Kärradal

The area is pleasant, with a lovely beach about a kilometre from the campsite, and there's a very nice restaurant nearby, though I'd avoid its bistro. The tent area is large and flat but has no shade at all. The biggest issue was the noise. If you're looking to party all night, this might suit you, but for sleeping, try somewhere else. Some guests were loud, there was music from a party somewhere on the grounds until 4 am, and trains and cars could be heard through the night. The service house was also really dirty, with just two toilets and one shower for a huge number of people. Check-in was slow but manageable, though they forgot to activate our service house key.

There's a short walk to the bay and a shop with basic supplies and fresh bread. We camped on a Saturday night; other campers mentioned music going on into the early hours, but it didn't wake me. The train line runs along one side of the camping area, though it wasn't too noisy and there weren't many trains. They also had mobile toilets by the campground, and those were nicer than the usual toilet blocks.

The bathroom was clean and the shower was pleasantly warm. For someone traveling alone by bike, though, it costs a lot: 330 SEK for one person, one tent and one night. It's also close to the railway, so there is some noise.

We called and booked on the spur of the moment for that same day, and checking in at 11 pm was no problem at all. The four-person cabin was comfortable and especially well stocked. The staff were very friendly.
