Scandic Värnamo

The hotel was in good condition overall, and the atmosphere at Scandic Varnamo was pleasant. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Some basic items were missing from the room, though it was manageable.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty to choose from, fresh fruit and vegetables, and lots of room in the dining area. There was even a kids' play area on the first floor. We stayed one night while traveling as a group of four, and the price felt fair for what we got. The room was on the small side but practical, freshly renovated in a nice style, and fairly clean. The window was already open when we arrived, which gave the room a nice fresh feel. Beds were comfortable, with two extra sleeping places on a fold-out sofa. Free parking was about 100 meters from the hotel. Our stay turned out differently from what other reviewers described.

The room had an okay amount of space, though the bed was very narrow. It looked like the room had been used for quite a long time. Breakfast was good, and there was a tiny gym with a few weights and a treadmill.

The room quality feels out of step with the price, and the rooms clearly need renovation. With little competition in Värnamo, Scandic can charge quite a lot, but the state of the rooms doesn't justify it. Still, the staff were super friendly, everything was clean, the beds were okay, and breakfast was quite good. A decent stay, though the room condition ought to match the cost better. I added photos for reference.
