For a short stay, yes, I'd come back. The location worked well, just a few minutes from the travel center, and staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Food was good and reasonably priced, with a good breakfast included. There's a small outdoor seating area for a drink or a bite when the weather allows, plus free coffee and tea in the lobby around the clock. The bathroom was clean, but its decor felt dated, a bit like a public restroom at a rest stop. Road and neighborhood noise came through the windows, which aren't soundproof. The basic Swedish TV package had few channels, though the free WiFi made that less of an issue. I stayed two nights at Hotel Arkad.

The room was tiny, dirty, and very poor quality. The walls and doors already seemed to be falling apart, and the toilet was badly cleaned with mold in several places. There was a lot of noise from both inside and outside. I mentioned the room condition to the receptionist and was told, in effect, that this was what they had and what I was paying for. The price was similar to other main hotels, which don't offer rooms this bad. They said coffee or tea could be made in the room, but provided just one paper cup, and some instant coffee bags were already open. I'm never going back.

There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and it was great. The room was basic but decent, fine for sleeping in, though I wouldn't want to spend the whole day there.

No elevator, no safe, and no coffee machine in the room. There wasn't even a telephone in the room.
